Ice storm!

We had an ice storm this week. Here are some pictures of our deck. Ice everywhere!

Thanksgiving Info.

Dinner will be between 3:30pm and 4pm (hopefully). Come hungry, there is lots of food!

Let me know when you plan to arrive. I'm thinking noon, but let me know if you are coming earlier (if I don't know already).

There will be 15 people (please let me know if I need to add more).

Bring clothes for football, there will most likely be a game before/after dinner.

Be prepared for an energetic 1 year old!

10 more days until we will have a house full of people. I'm excited and nervous! I hope there is enough food and enough room for everyone!

Rachel's birthday party was a success!

Now we start to get ready for Thanksgiving!
We have an activity planned and food almost all of the way planned.

Getting ready!

We're getting ready for the big party on Sept. 29th! Hopefully we can have a lot of the things done that we wanted to get done.

I'm still working on getting some boxes cleared out of the basement. Man, that take a long time!

Kitchen Paint

On the 4th Mom H and I painted the kitchen. It is pretty and green now! :)
Excuse my mess, I'm still putting things away from the move.

Yay House!

We have been in our house for a week now and things are starting to look good. We had a ton of help with everything, so thank you to all that helped us! I'll take some pictures of what we have been up to next week!

House Walk-Through!

The walk through was great. There was nothing left in there so it was fun to see how big it looked in there. All of the curtains were left for us and they match the colors that we had planned for the rooms. The only complaint would be that is was dirty in there. We think they hired movers and the movers left pens, and scraps of paper and other dirt things on the floors. Nothing a little vacuuming wouldn't take care of. There were also a few places that needed some steam cleaning. Looks like we have a bit of work to do! We went out and bought our paint for Rachel's room and the kitchen today! We also bought our new doorknobs/locks. We are ready! 4 more days! :D

1 week!

One week from today we will be in our house!!! :D

We have the final walk-through on Saturday at 1pm!

Yay! So exciting! I hope that Rachel is felling better by then.

House Update

Well, we drove by the house this weekend and we think that the sellers have moved out. The wreath on the door is no longer there, so we are taking that as a sign that they are out. So exciting! :) Now that it's June it seems so much closer to being ours! :)

Moving day!

Looks like moving day (weekend) is going to be June 30th - July 4th!

Fixing things!

Yay! The sellers are going to fix everything that we requested!

Inspection

The inspection went really well. Our inspector was very impressed with the house and said that we had a great house! :) There were some minor things that we can fix on our own. There were only a few things that we are going to ask to be fixed. One of them being the dishwasher. It was not draining while we were there. So we are going to see if they will fix it or give us some money for a new one (we hope for the money). But all in all everything checked out well.

We are thinking about changes that we would like to do now. We're going to be thinking about paint colors and perhaps a few other changes. I really can't wait to paint! :) We are also thinking about the things that we have picked out at Nebraska Furniture Mart (www.nfm.com). There are a lot of nice things there! Hopefully we will be able to get a few new things for our new house! :)

Saturday is Inspection!

Saturday is our house inspection. I'm excited to see what happens. We don't think there is going to be any major things, but you never know! Keep your fingers crossed that it goes well. I'll update when we get the results!

Inspection: 9am Saturday May 5, 2007. 2-3 hours long.

Yay!

Yay! They took our offer! The house is ours June 27th as long as inspections check out!

Another counter

Yesterday they countered again, so we countered back. We are due to hear back by 5 pm today (Friday). If they do not accept or counter back with something unacceptable then we are dropping this for a few weeks and hunting more.

I really hope that they accept this time!!! We made a good offer!

Counter offer

We put in a counter offer today. Hopefully they will accept this one! Keep your fingers crossed. We should hear back before noon on Friday.

On Saturday we went house hunting. We looked at 9 houses and really liked 2 of them.
